Walter Payton Recreation and Wellness Center

The Walter Payton Center,named for JSU’s famous running back Walter “Sweetness” Payton, opened in January 2006. It has 3 aerobics studios, 12,000 square feet for strength and conditioning, 3 racquetball courts, 3 courts that can be used for basketball, volleyball, as well as a walking trail, to name just a few of the possibilities the building has to shape a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
